I'm not a student. I'm looking for an answer to what is causing my symptoms, or
a solution.

I'm 52, white male in very good health, non-smoker, very little alcohol, no drug use.

Only medication is oxazepam and zrytec.

My symptoms,

Random and intense facial flushing with noticeable inflammation in the nasal area.
Redness and swelling can persist for hours. Almost always occurs after I leave work
and I am driving home. My truck is a 2008 model and I bought it new. Symptoms started in 2007. Seems to be triggered by sunlight exposure after getting in my truck and heat makes the symptoms worse.

Tests that have been done....,many!

MRI - normal
Heavy metal using blood -- normal
Thyroid and androgen blood tests - normal
other chemistry and hematology panels - normal
Urine - metanephrines and catecholamines - normal

Physicians have ruled out mid-gut tumors and porphyrias.

No one else at my workplace are experiencing these symptoms.
Our lab is OSHA compliant.

The only thing that seems to help is washing my face prior to leaving work.

So I strongly believe there is a substance that is getting on me. And that substance
when exposed to sunlight and it may be specifically UVA light, because I'm in my truck
when this all begins, starts the intense vasodilation and inflammation.

Please let me know if you have an idea what is causing these symptoms.

I've seen many physicians across many specialties and all tests were normal so
I believe this is caused by environmental exposure to something, chemical or biological.

Thanks!!!
