Go to Air Force academy and become a fighter pilot. Become a captain of jumbo jet after retirement from military.

In emergency such as multiple bird-strike on all engines, successfully land on river, saving all passengers' lives, but go back to half-sunken fuselage to make sure no one is left behind. Leave the scene like nothing happened.

I would live like that if I wasn't a pharmacist.

Dental school.....

or open a flower shop.

I had a job that I actually really liked before pharmacy school, but I made no money (worked in research). I don't think I'll know for sure if I would do it all over again until I have been out in practice/paying back loans for a few years, but my alternative choice would have been to just stay at my other low-paying (but happy) job.

I'm still optimistic (or maybe I'm just naive) that I'll find a niche in pharmacy where I can be happy and make some money.

rock star yeah! maybe a lounge pianist or a mime. or full contact origamist. driving range ball retriever part time.

Pharmacist.

I knew exactly what I wanted out of this degree, and it has delivered, and keeps delivering everything I expected and then some.

Knowing what I know now, I'd still want to be a pharmacist. I'd take more classes before applying, and have some tech experience before starting pharmacy school.

Tennis star had I not torn my ACL right before the playoffs in high school tennis began. I went 7-1. Lost my first game 10-0. (The rules in my high school league were that the winner was first to 10 games in one set. They go to the USTA rules when the playoffs begin.)

Not exactly sure. This semester has been beating me down, and I have thought about quitting, but I'm not sure I can see anything being any better. Everything has the good and the bad. However, a part of me does wish I would have given applying to medical school another shot.

To quote Jim Plagakis: I love the profession but I have a problem with the job (or something like that).

I get frustrated with some aspects of the job sometimes, but for the most part, pharmacy has been good to me.

The only other career I seriously considered was going into chemical engineering...I have no idea how that would have turned out, so don't really have any regrets.

Plus I met my fiance thanks to pharmacy so it ain't all bad :)

If it's good for the most part, then it should be alright. We all have frustrating days at work.

I've had days when I was stressed out more than usual. But if I gave up at that point, I'd be giving up too easily.

Also, I would become a competitive body builder, then move on to become an actor for superhero roles, then marry a woman from Kennedy family, and then become a governor of California if I wasn't a pharmacist.

Life is what you make it and sky is the limit.

would have still picked pharmacy. it's practically a no brainer

I heard that all you need to do is find a hot female friend who wants to become a porn star, go to the studio and and she tells them that she's only willing to work with you.

Smart idea..but I tried to talk to Jessica Alba the other day about it and nah...she said she's making enough money to just not do porn..lol

I wish I stuck with chemical engineering. By the time I finish with pharmacy training, I could of basically finished a PhD in chemical engineering.

Whatever happened to threads about actual pharmacy? We just have that pradaxa thread and thats about it.

They get shut down because they are for homework help.

Just teasing! :p
Be careful, they might just ban you for criticizing.

I mean there were good threads on this website once. I remember those days.

Im looking to get my M.D. after pharmacy school. Know a few people who worked as pharmacists every other weekend during med school. Im pretty interested in surgery.

I live in constant fear of exactly that. You wouldn't believe how much I tone down some of my more sarcastic posts for just this reason.

PhD in psych doing bench research. I have no interest in being any other kind of healthcare provider.

Rock star/musician. Seriously. Music has always been part of my life; it makes me money and relieves stress. If it weren't for pharmacy, I'd probably just be playing shows or something.

I'll never stop pursuing music as a career. Ever heard of Tom Scholz? Boston.

I'd also consider being a male stripper, poet, philosopher, or monk. Those all sound pretty good except male stripper as I'm not an object to be lusted after by countless women. :D

What kind of bench research does psych offer?
Neurotransmitters, looking at radio-labeled animal brain slides, stuff like that. Stuff I did as an undergrad. But now that I think about it, I started getting really depressed doing animal research.

What I meant was not human clinical trials, not counseling and not teaching.
