    hi,

when writing up resumes for people to write recommendations or when talking about yourself in a personal statement, do you talk about how many hrs/wk u volunteer or the total # of hrs volunteered in hospital? which sorta hours would be good? 200 hr over three years. 400 hr over three years. 1000 hr over three year?

Usually, you list hours per week and total number of weeks, or hours per month and total number of months. Let them do the math if they want to know total # of hours.
