poor Ms Tillhurst.........she's probably totally overwhelmed! but it sounds like she deserves a metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, are you working in rehab right now or how did you decide on physiatry????

Same thing happened to me today--my friend's dad sent the AAMC a letter and they called his office and promised verification be Friday (I submitted 07-01). Too bad we have to resort to that just to get them to do their jobs.

i've been verified!!! with a date processed!!! i got the X's on saturday, and i was processed yesterday. sooooo happy am i. now, if my MCAT scores would just come...

To slptodoc-I'm an slp also. Been working in rehab for 10 years. Being a doc has always been by goal but didn't start to persue it until 1994. Been taking classes part-time and working full-time.

I spoke to Ms. Tillinghast on MOnday (I didn't mention anything about getting a lawyer), called amcas today and my app is being verified!!! It should be done by tomorrow

i wrote to Nancy Tillinghast too, and my apps verified also! Same Friday notice. I submitted 07/13 so my patience was dying out.

How did you guys get in touch with Nancy Tillinghast? I called last week and spoke to someone named Rosa who was very pleasant and said my app would be placed on the priority list and would be processed by this week. Nothing so far. I don't have money for a lawyer so now what?

I wrote to Nancy as well. I got an e-mail back that said a specialist was "looking into the matter" but I haven't heard any response since.

Submitted July 6 --- still nothing. What are the chances of it happening before the 22nd when the Yale and Harvard deadlines are? I can't even get a straight answer on whether they have received my transcripts which were sent twice. I've gotten two "yes" answers and two "no" answers. Not a good sign.

See the thread entitled "Nancy Tillinghast is a Saint!!!" for her e-mail address. Make sure your message to her is very forceful i.e. that she will be hearing from your lawyer if you aren't processed by such and such a date (she doesn't know you can't afford one). Good luck!

mpp, I'd get a legal letter faxed to her right away and let her know about those Harvard and Yale deadlines as well as the transcript mess. If you do it tomorrow, I think they can get you verified over the weekend, and transmit the app on Monday. Although I think that the deadlines refer only to the date by which you have to have
submitted your AMCAS application, not the date by which AMCAS has to get it to the schools.

I emailed a nice letter to nancy on monday - no reply. I emailed another yesterday at 4pm threatening to persue legal action and lo and behold I now have 3 red Xs!!!!!!!!!!
