I am an international student who was accepted to take my 2-month elective course at OUWB center in Detroit at the Internal Medicine Department (still not determined in which part of internal exactly)....I want to ask about their IM program and department in general as I plan to work on making good connections to go there in the future for residency.....

Is it considered good? pros and cons? other than being a new faculty

It is a large community hospital, with just about everything (no heart or lung transplants that I know of), that just became affiliated with the new medical school (after years of a loose affiliation with Wayne State). It has world class orthopedics. Think of it as a very good community program. It is not the best choice if you have an academic bent, but it has a lot of fellowships, and gets good cases for IM.
