I'm Canadian. Should I write both American DAT and Canadian DAT?

I'm interested in applying to both American schools and Canadian schools (mostly UBC). I don't think it makes sense to write both exams when I could just use the Canadian DAT marks to apply for American schools and save money from writing both exams. However, do American schools frown upon the Canadian DAT and favour the American DAT?

Is it true that it's "easier" to score higher on the American DAT exam than on the Canadian DAT exam? Why is this?

Hey..i'm pretty much in the same boat as you. If you can do well on the Canadian, then don't write the American. But if you're hoping to do amazing on the DAT (like, 21+ on each section), it might be easier to get that on the American..especially with the sciences. It's easier in the sense that the American actually gives out marks above 23 lol. The 90th %ile isn't a 19 down there, it's more like a 21..and that could make a big difference.

If you don't write the American, you might encounter some schools that don't accept the Canadian, but those schools probably don't accept International applicants in general anyway (or have pretty limited spots).

I've been trying to study for the american for the past couple weeks, and organic chem sucks. I can't stand it.
