IMG applying for anesthesiology -- appreciate your help

I'd like to hear suggestions from you people and I thank everyone in advance for your help.

I am really interested in anesthesiology but I am not sure with my credentials where I should apply.

I am an IMG, graduated in 1997 (considered old by some programs.) My score are 257/99, 258/99 on step 1 and step 2. I have a PhD in Neuroscience from a top US University. Also have a master's degree of computer science from the same university. Current working as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. No US clinic experience. No LOR from US anesthesiologist. I have EAD.

Is there any chance I can get into a top anesthesiology program?

Hi Fish!

Sounds great to me! Wow...99 for both steps...not many applicants can lay claim to that score! I don't think you'll have any problems...but should consider other options as stepping stones.

Have you considered doing your prelim year somewhere else first?

I know of an excellent IMG friendly internal med program with an appreciation for good scores.
