Regarding LOI

- I have an excel sheet with the program name/PD last name/email address
- I have applied to 397 IM programs. I send the same generic email (except for the PD last name and email address) to all programs
- I usually start at 730am. Currently have 100+ more to go
- I do this routine once every month (the content of course is different)
- It is annoying from the program's perspective but if I have paid $26, they (the program) can at least do the courtesy of sending me a rejection
- A lot will disagree with my approach. but I have been able to secure 2 invites from an LOI and you can clearly see from my stats. I am a below average candidate who is applying for the 3rd time (so you can imagine my desperation)

How are interviews going for everyone?

I feel like I'm having a difficult time gauging how well my interviews have been going. They haven't been bad but not amazing either? Haven't received much feedback through post-interview communication either (eg, replies to thank you emails, etc).

Hey guys. What do you guys think about chances of an IMG to score something in SOAP? Have any of you heard of an IMG getting in through SOAP during previous years?

IMGs fair poorly during SOAP, especially NON US IMGs. Is there any data to back this statement? I am not sure honestly but simply watching 2 previous match cycles and word of mouth.

I have a friend matched in SOAP last year. She has GC and was recommended by a third-year resident. In my opinion, GC and connection are the most important thing for IMG.

This may be dumb, but if you're sending the same email to a spreadsheet of people, why not just mail merge it? Would take about 15 seconds to send 400 emails.
