Importance of Personal Statements

Knowing that you are all dental students, I was wondering the importance you feel schools placed on your personal statements. It seems like many of the reasons I want to go into dentistry sound like bull**** reasons. If anyone could let me know what you wrote your reasons where for going into the field, it would help.
