how important is science GPA exactly? I ask because the dean of admissions of a top 50 school told me they really don't care at all about science gpa, it's all about overall. Is this true at other schools?

you're a freshman in college. are you sure everything is important?
By the way, seth, "keeping it gay". that's hilarious for a description. more power to you.

i would disagree, based on my experience so far. i dont have any interviews and i'm pretty sure its because of my low sci gpa. my overall is pretty decent. i know a girl with a significantly lower mcat score but 3.6 sci gpa who has several interviews. i too would be interested to know what school this guy was from.

I don't think it's that important. I got some interviews at some pretty cool schools with a 2.88 BPCM GPA. I think MCAT is more important than most people think.

man nowadays every thing about our application is important , but its true that sciece gpa weighs more than non science

I'm wondering the same thing..i just calculated my BPCM GPA and it's a 2.95 🙁... but i would think that GPA (science) is important because of the nature of med school.

Several of the schools I've interviewed at have specifically mentioned the importance of science GPA. I think MCAT and BCPM play a major factor, though having a well rounded package is a must.
