IMPORTANT (for me)! help- Race Identification on AMCAS

Hmmm... So I'm Egyptian... And I noticed that they took out the Other specification for race, so now I have to pick one... what would best fit me?

Black/African American? 🙂
White?

I have no clue... I don't really identify with any of those races

Geographically/politically, Egypt is middle eastern. Ethnically Egypt is primarily Berber/Arab, both of which are Caucasians, "white." You could probably get away with African-American/black if you came from close to the Nubian border, Aswan or something. I highly doubt you are, however, and you most likely look Arabic/Berber, in which case putting down black would probably cost you an acceptance(s).
