For those who haven't noticed, last week SDN launched the SDN Interdisciplinary Journal Club. It might serve to improve your proficiency in reading professional literature, boost your verbal score on the MCAT, or even help you lose weight! ;) Anyway, here's a description. I encourage everyone to at least check it out and hopefully get involved in the discussions.

Welcome to the SDN interdisciplinary journal club! This is a place where students and practitioners of all fields can get together and discuss the latest literature and how it will impact their practice.

Every two weeks, a new study will be posted, along with a review article of the topic and discussion guide, to be debated among the members. The studies posted will be selected to have a broad appeal across many professions and many specialties, so that every user of SDN will be able to get something out of it.

We encourage members from every background and educational level to participate in this forum. Hopefully we can all learn from unfamiliar perspectives and unique viewpoints while taking new information to our own practices.

This forum is run entirely by a volunteer staff of journal facilitators. Anyone who might be interested in becoming a facilitator is encouraged to join the group by sending a PM to Praziquantel86, along with a list of journals they would be interested in reviewing. In addition to being a way to increase your participation on SDN, this will look fanstastic on a CV and applications.

Please keep in mind that the SDN Terms of Service apply in this forum. We want to have a good presence from many different specialties, so please be aware that disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Thanks, and enjoy!
