I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on how to not stress out and get depressed about student loan debt. Just for some perspective, I'm currently a medical student interested in psychiatry. When I graduate I'll owe ~375k in student loans. Most are stafford, some grad plus, but 100k will be in private loans with an interest rate of 9.75%. I plan to do the ibr plan when I start residency and whatever leftover after living expenses I will put toward the private loans.

1) make a spreadsheet of your future income and debt. do the math.
2) drink a little beer sometimes
3) read about the average income in the us and the rest of the world. think about what you really want to do with your income versus having more time.
