Information about endo externships...

I'm a 2nd year and specifically interested in endo programs. Does anyone know how to get information about endo externships? Am I supposed to just start calling program directors at different places to find out what kind of things are possible or is there a better way to do this? Thanks.

I don't specifically know about endo externships but what I've done for oral surgery externships is just send an email to the program director telling him I'd like to do an externship. I don't see why that wouldn't work for endo too.
