I am interested in Pre Med Studies as an undergraduate, did not do too hot freshman year of hs so Still have a chance at Pitt, but slim. I am also interested in Duquesne University. What is your take on students who out of state for pre med studies vs students who go instate for pre med studies??? Should stay at Duquesne, possible transfer to Pitt if I do not like it at Duquesne or go to a better pre med out of state school??

In my opinion, undergraduate school won't affect your med school application unless you plan on going to an ivy league school.

In state is much cheaper, so I always think staying in state is better.

I would go wherever you are going to be happy the next 4 or 5 years

If you really want it and could afford out of school go for it. Here in Cali at my UC, international (and I believe out of state) students pay triple the tuition. Pitt is a great school, just do well in undergrad and your prereqs

Doesn't matter, go to the smallest most obscure cheap school you know that you can finish the prereqs in and get a 4.0 in while having a crap ton of free time for EC's, friends, mcat study time, etc.
