insurance in med school

This is probably a stupid question, but since I haven't been through the application process yet, I'm going to ask anyway. Is there any kind of insurance that you can get on in conjunction with the medical school? I know that some residency programs provide insurance, but I was just wondering about medical schools.

Since I am working while in school I don't have to worry about insurance at this time. However, I know that my school offers a major medical plan to all students that is above and beyond the student health services fees that we all have to pay. The school requires that you are covered by some major medical plan so if you are not covered by yourself, spouse, or parent you have to buy something.
