Hey,
I have been jumping around in a lot of different fields and I am interested in cardiology. I know it is one of the more competitive fields and browsing through the forums I see that research is a big part of what it takes to be accepted.
I am currently a medical student at Mayo and I know that it is pretty well renowned for cardiology. I am not sure if I stay here after medical school so I wanted to maximize my opportunities here. Would it be worth it to do cardiology research here in hopes that it would help me down the road if I decide cardiology for fellowship? Would having done the research at Mayo help 'boost' my chances?
Thanks!
