I thought I'd post this in case someone was looking for something to do for a year before school. The placements start October 1 but you can finish the 1700 hours by July 31 or so, just in time for school. There are about 25 different host sites and the placements are mostly in community health clinics or the dept of health. And Utah is cheap enough so that the money seems to go further. Food stamps add another $125 to the low monthly stipend. If you finish by July 31 you get the last two months of $$ in one big check which most people try and do.
