Sounds like you're not on a full time inpatient service, so you should have time to read Step Up To Medicine. This should do for your shelf.

From a ,ore practical point, it sucks if you don't get any prerounding/presenting on rounds/note writing/floor grunt work experience - your efficiency at these things will matter for your sub-I. Is all of your IM rotation going to be like this? Any chance you can have some time on a full time inpatient service?
