Hello everyone,
From the residents here, which subspecialty of internal medicine has the greatest range of diverse diagnostic workups. Also, which subspecialty do you consider to be most cerebral in terms of problem solving. Thank you very much for your help.

Well not a resident yet, but I'll say my $0.02 anyway just for kicks.

Well, obviously General Internal Medicine (including Hospitalists) will see the greatest range of conditions. As for a sub-specialty, I don't know...maybe Infectious Disease?

For most cerebral, I would vote for Nephrology.

For most diverse I would say Pulm/Critical Care or ID.

For most cerebral I would say Nephrology.
