International Medical Volunteer Experience

Has anyone had a valuable international volunteer experience with a repectable organization? I would like to do medical volunteer work abroad this summer before heading off to medical school in the fall. There are tons of organizations out there that coordiate volunteers, and I was wondering which ones have a good repuation. Thanks!
