Hey guys I finally got my first interview at UMDNJ-RWJ. Was wondering if any body had any thoughts on the school that I should be aware of. Any interview tips will be great. ANybody know if there already going there. Im so excited !!!

Why not get the info you need first-hand? How? Hop across the river the day/or several days before your interview. Stop by the Admissions Office (they will then see you for two days instead of hit and run; doesn't that say something about your interest in the school)? Ask for help in finding medical scudents to speak with, perhaps in a student lounge or cafeteria). Ask about everything, especially the interview you are so concerned with. You want to learn from them costs, teaching, living accomodations, social life, local highlights, whatever you might be concerned about. Look around in beautiful downtown Piscataway. Should you be accepted, and have other choices, it will save a return visit to discover what you want to
know. Pick their brains, not the interviewer's. Being happy and satisfied with your choice of medical school will do more for you than whatever small or even large differences in "prestige" may exist.

Congratulations, it is a great school from what I saw during my interview. I arrived a few hours early to look around, and then stayed a few hours after my interview. The students there were really friendly. I learned quite a bit during my tour with the student.

I drove to New Brunswick and some of the other surrounding areas. It is pretty nice out there. I am from Washington state, so it is definately different from what I am used to (50 miles to next town).

I posted my feedback on the interview feedback section of the SDN. I interviewed in August and was accepted mid-October. I am going to the USUHS (military school) though.

Good luck.
