Interview Invite without email

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Will any school send interview invites just by changing your status and not sending an email?

You'll get notfication, but sometimes you can find it online a days before you actually get word from the school. This happened to me at UIC.

I liked to check my status every so often, but it's not really necessary or something you need to do frequently.

How about weekly?

I just set up a folder on my Firefox bookmarks with all the login pages for the various status update websites. It goes pretty fast to check all of them

good idea!

-goes and bookmarks all his pages

This would seem counterproductive. I have not heard of any medical school inviting an applicant to an interview without directly and actively contacting them in some manner.

I would check apps every week or so. It's not like it takes that long unless you're applying to a ton of schools. Just make it a routine... maybe every Sunday night you check all of your status pages to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Most (if not all) schools will send e-mails, but e-mails getting lost/sent to your spam folder seems to be a common occurrence.

UChicago is notorious for this, I feel. I think there was some discussion some time ago about EDU email addresses not receiving e-mails and updates. I just happened to log in and find an interview invite waiting for me.

I created a spreadsheet with all the websites, usernames, and passwords of the schools I applied to. For about 30 schools it takes me only a few minutes to check my statuses. (You probably spend more time reading SDN, which will direct you toward which statuses to check in the first place...)
