Do you think it is a bad idea to have an interview on 9/11? It fits so well with my schedule though I am reluctant due to the stigma associated with the date.
    Input please...

Are you kidding me? No one will possibly think you're psychotic or anything else just because you had an interview on September 11th. The only reason you should possibly consider a different date is if you had family or friends that were victims of the attacks, and you don't think you'd be emotionally stable that day.

There is no stigma attached to September 11th that would affect your interview.

I have an interview on the 12th meaning I have to fly on the 11th. I didn't even realize it until my co-worker pointed it out.

are you worried that you are going to be hijacked? or that it's just a bad-luck day for interviews?

I am not worried about being hijacked at all. I am just worried that people will be in a sad mood on 9/11 thus when they are rating me after the interview they will unintentionally let their mood affect my results.

No difference. The school wouldn't have allowed you to schedule on that day if they weren't fine with having interviews on that day.

Relax. You have an ulcer forming as we speak.

I once got hit in my private parts with a soccer ball on Friday, the 13th.

Moral of the story: Wear a cup on friday, the 13th.

As for any other date, don't worry unless your superstitious side might effect your interviewing performance.

I'm flying into the capitol of September 11 from a connection in Detroit. I was a little apprehensive at first, but seriously, I don't think it's a big deal.

taylormade44's referring to football. Apparently, men in the United States have a different kind of testosterone compared to men in rest of the world.
Instead of hating, go play with some balls.

 that is ridiculous! Even if you were an Arab, it would still not matter.

Interesting thing is that my name is First/Last name is English yet I always have the asterisks by my name on my plane tickets to be searched... It's great fun.

But yes... I am half Arab. Yet the only way they would know this is if they were doing it by the color of my skin or some in-depth background check.

Of course I am not Muslim and I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian from the Arab side of the family. So who knows how they figure these things out.

It wasn't random. I guess we'll see if I have the asterisks again in two weeks when I go fly..
