i'm looking through the viewbook they gave out and they sent offers to 221/3342 applicants last year. 101 ended up matriculating.

According to USNews, they interviewed 782 last year and accepted 208. (26%)

my mooching is because MSAR doesn't say anything about number accepted, just number of new entrants. this % is now an important factor in deciding whether or not i should dish out another $500 on an interview. if i've got a 1 in 10 chance of acceptance after an interview or a 1 in 2 chance, there's a bit of a difference to me.

thanks for posting these stats everyone. :)

Well you could just pay for USNews. :p $10 vs. $500? I think it's worth it.

How come so few people applied to Columbia? If you're applying to Cornell, just shoot off an app to the west side. :p
