Intimacy vs. "Big Name" Hospital

Do you think it is more important to do rotations at a smaller, less well-known hospital where the Attendings will get to know you well **OR** at a larger, academic-affiliated hospital where the Attendings barely have any contact with their rotating students?

Which situation would carry more weight to residency coordinators? Would the chosen field make a difference (ie. FP vs. Surgery) to residency coordinators?

....was hoping for some guidance.
