We wanted to share our latest project with the sports medicine community here on student doctor network: wikism.org. If you’re not familiar with wikEM.org, radiopaedia.org or eyewiki.org, these are awesome online resources for their respective specialties.
We have built an open access, community driven wiki database for sports medicine. Like other medical wikis, the content is freely available to anyone in the world at any time. The site is designed to be easily edited and updated by any member of the sports medicine community and to be accessed in any clinical setting. Essentially, this is an online textbook designed for clinical use!
We’re actively recruiting medical students, residents, fellows and attendings to help make this site shine as much as other medical wiki’s. Getting started is easy! We track your edits and contributions which you can use to gain editorial ranks and put on your application or CV as academic productivity. We’ve got a getting started page and you can begin editing as soon as you verify your email. If you have questions, please post them here or email us at [email protected].
