investment clubs

My friends and I are thinking about setting up an investment club. Any advice on how to go about doing this? Also, what rules does you club follow?

First rule of investment club... don't talk about investment club.
Second rule: Make money.
Third rule: Don't forget the first two rules

Don't trust me on this one, talk to some fairly well-off guy (or gal) with grey hair and they'll tell you to invest in a mutual fund any day of the week over an investment club - much easier, much safer, better long-term returns.

Don't reinvent the wheel.
