I am a medical student from Germany and I would really love to do my clinical internship in an Irish hospital. However it is really difficult for foreign students to find an available placement in Ireland.
I have been thinking a lot about it, and I came to such a conclusion:
Is there any medical student from Ireland/Scottland , who would like to go this summer (2008) to Germany and do his/her clinical internship in the University Medical Center Freiburg????????? We could swap our appartments for this time, so that nobody would have to pay extra for the expensive accomodation, and we would try to obtain a placement in a hospital for each other...
Isn´t it a good idea?? The University Medical Center Freiburg is a fantastic place to expand our medical knowledge and practical skills. Moreover it is about 20 min. far from Switzerland and France, so that there will be a lot to explore in your spare time!
