I still haven't heard anything from them. Did the acceptance go out first?

A bunch of people have gotten their letters, but I'm still waiting too! SO NERVOUS. Good luck! :luck:

Good Luck to you too, NJ. I don't know what it means for us to be waiting for so long. I hope it doesn't mean a fat R. I'm from Cali, so I can understand the wait.

How long do you think I should wait before I can call BU and ask them if my letter got lost in the mail? 😛 NJ just isn't THAT far away from MA.

Call Monday after checking your mail. I was planning to call on Tuesday because by the time I get my mail on Monday, the office would be closed.

I called on Friday (1/14/05) to check on my application status. I interviewed in November (11/10/04) but haven't received a letter either. November was long before their first round of selections in December. Nevertheless, I was told that my file was not reviewed in December for potential January admission, so now I must wait until March. I'm slightly irked, I wish I knew their decision right now, but at least this isn't a rejection. Point is: many of you may not receive a letter in January either, but it's basically only for administrative reasons.

Yikes. Thanks for the information! I can breathe a little easier now.

What was the reason they gave you for not reviewing your app? I am in basically the same boat, I interviewed in October and have not heard anything.

No reason given.

Frankly, I was thankful they took my call. Most schools I call bluntly tell me that they don't do status checks and hang up. I'm sure it's annoying to take calls like mine all day, but they could have a little courtesy.

Huh..well I guess I'll call on Monday/Tuesday to try to find out about mine. Strange though, seemed like Dr. Witzburg was pretty definite about assuring us that we would get either an acceptance or a deferral in January. But then again, I don't recall him saying anything about rejections going out either (even after a direct question) and I saw a post that someone who interviewed got rejected earlier this week.

Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure everyone gets a letter of some sort if you interviewed in December or earlier. I just got a letter from BU about 3 days ago stating that they were not able to make a final decision for my app, and that they would review it again in March after they have finished interviewing.

I got a deferral on Thursday night, and I live in a Boston suburb.

This is what freaks me out, I interviewed early and live in a Boston suburb too. But I guess I won't have any idea until I call. Thing that sucks though is that whether I get a deferral letter or not (ie. automatic deferral till March) I still have to allocate time to study for the MCATs again. And they were so fun last time.............

Are they finished offering interviews? I was complete in early November and I haven't heard anything since.
Good luck to all of you

I don't know if they are still offering interviews, but I know that they are interviewing into February. Not really a help, but maybe a glimmer of hope!! (This coming from someone who is also still waiting on two schools)
