Hi, I know I'll for sure take biochemistry 1 before I take the mcat. However, I don't think I'll be able to take biochemistry 2 before it. Is the biochemistry material on mcat on both biochemistrys or just biochemistry 1?

nope. I took the mcat without any biochem at all and simply prepped some Kaplan review material. Its very very shallow in depth.

One semester should be sufficient. As long as you understand amino acid structures/properties, enzyme kinetics, signaling cascades, and some of the simple lab procedures (SDS page, blots, etc) you should be fine. Don't waste time on details. A basic understanding is all you need.

You just need biochem 1. Biochem 2 is not a requirement for anything, not mcat, not med school requirement. I would not waste my time on it, unless you just love the subject and the hard work.
