Im having surgery in may and I decided to withdrawal from my classes for the semester and go back home to prepare. I could not make it a medical withdrawal because technically the surgery isnt during school..

For the record I have a 3.6+ gpa, and am otherwise in good standing. Will this withdrawal hurt me at all?

Generally med schools don't like to see a trend of W's. That being said, if you do withdraw with all of your classes as W's this semester, and can explain that it was necessary for you to do so, it won't be too bad as long as you don't get any more W's in the future.
