It seems that many international students do the internship in rural areas. But is it hard to secure a spot in there?

And what happens after the internship? Will you be ditched?

If international students choose the rural pathway, will they still be affected by the visa policy change?

Would be very interested to know this as well as I am considering applying via OzTREKK after my undergrad. I am mainly interested in psychiatry. Is it doable to do psychiatry in Australia as a Canadian?
