I shadowed a doctor in a hospital and got a chance to see a few awesome surgeries. I even stayed for a full 24hr on-call period.
The doctor is a friend's parent and got me into the OR, but it wasn't exactly "legal" as I did not go through any actual hospital orientation or paperwork, or whatever is necessary to shadow in OR.
So my question is, is it OK to talk about an experience like this in an interview or may be a personal statement or should I avoid it? It was a significant experience, however I am not sure if it would sound shady since I won't be naming any names. Or am I overreacting and this is common practice?
What do you guys think?
