Is it okay to complete o chem lab after applying?

I am hoping to be ready to apply this cycle. I have completed all of my prereqs aside from the O chem lab at this point. My understanding was that I just needed to complete the lab before matriculation, and that it shouldn't be a problem to complete it next fall after I've submitted my app.

Today, though, I was told that some schools might not consider my app until all of my prerequs (labs included) are completed.

Am I okay to apply prior to completing the o chem lab, or will this hurt my app?

I've been told that as long as you've got the great majority of your prereqs completed for your app you should be fine. That is, as long as the rest are completed before you matriculate.

I'm applying this cycle and still have some labs to finish too.

yes. I don't have ochem lab, nor physics 2 and possibly won't take the latter depending on school. lab I will for interest if nothing else.
