So... I've had one interview, and was just recently waitlisted. I need to write a letter of interest, without committing, in an effort to come off the waitlist.

I would love to go to this school, but there are some schools that still haven't rejected me yet that I am interested in as well.

Is it possible to write a strong Letter of Interest? Or is it pointless because schools can tell you're trying to avoid writing a Letter of Intent?

My question is: What is the potential good of a Letter of Interest, esp. if the waitlist is ranked?

A letter of interest is important. I e-mailed AMC admissions my letter of interest and also attached my transcript. Then a day later I got accepted after being "under consideration" for about 2 months.
