When is it considered TOO early to start collecting teeth?

I am currently working at a private practice during my gap year and have the perfect opportunity to start collect teeth, might be a little pre-mature.

How long do they usually last for before its too brittle?

Also, what would be the best solution to store them? I read 2 parts bleach, 3 parts glycerin (my dentist also recommended), and 5 parts water.
