I have a 3.4 undergrad gpa, 3.8 in an smp, and 512 MCAT.

Is it too late to send an application to DO schools? And do I need a DO letter? I could get an MD letter, but probably not a DO.

You should probably try posting this in the Pre-Med Osteopathic forum.

1) No
2) For a lot of schools no.

No for both. Although you should start formulating an answer as to why you want to pursue DO.

No, and it will depend upon what school you apply to. Some require a DO LOR (LECOM and AT Still, for starters).

The DO cycle is longer than MD.

Actually, LECOM (at least the Bradenton one, not sure about Eerie) doesn't require a DO letter anymore! I just found out Edward Via requires one within 30 days of acceptance though :(.

Get your primary done and send AACOMAS your grades asap though...getting verified take a little while
