Is it worth putting shadowing hours for a relative dentist?

I have 100+ shadowing hours from non-relative dentists but I also did 50+ with my cousin who has the same last name as me. Is it worth putting it on or could it hurt me in any way?

Yes, for sure worth mentioning. My only advice would have been to have a non-relative as well, but you've got that covered already.

Definitely mention it. Regardless if they are your relative or not, you're still gaining valuable insight into the profession through the shadowing process. Just don't use your relative as the dentist who writes your LOR.
