This thread is getting touchy. Let's just all agree that the number of hours one can work without being burnt out or neglecting ones family is not a constant? Also, more billable hours generally equates to higher pay. But, there are always ways to work smarter, not harder.

I have a private practice. Not sure about the owned part. I don't see alot of psych complaining about their jobs.
