is qbanks THAT important?

I am surprised by all the posters who did qbanks for their USMLE since it seems to come only with their books, for a total of $500!

I am relying on First Aid's recommendation. Unfortunately, qbank was kind of new for First Aid to review it. Are the questions on NMS Review for USMLE step I good enough? Hey, that's $42 v.s. $500!

Most everyone did the online qBank from kaplan.com. It's $99 for a month subscription whether you purchased their books or not.

I highly recommend it!
