Is science or cumulative GPA more important?

Both are important, but does one carry more weight than the other? Also how big of a difference can there be between the 2 before adcoms care?

I think I read on some thread a while back that the avg for most schools (excluding the top tier) is 3.7 cgpa and 3.6 sgpa. Is that correct?
