Is the application fee/travel expenses/hotel/food and more tax deductible?

Does anybody know? 😕

I called the IRS and since it is not considered tuition and fee, it is not, But Im not sure the lady I talked to knew much.

talked to an accountant-- sadly, nothing is deductible.

baby, nothing is deductible. There was a HUGE discussion on this last year with several accountants chiming in. This is one of those enormous "it's not fair" things that we all just have to suck up and take.

true - however, if, like me, you're simultaneously looking for a job, those costs ARE deductible, so maybe you can, you know, fudge (e.g. - interview suit you use for both).
