Is there a deadline for students to decide what DO school they will attend?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
From my past post on the osteopathic forum, I think not...although I did search on the AACOMAS website for such a deadline and I did not see one. On the applicant profiles, it stated that once a decision has been made by the student as to which school to attend, he/she should notify the others schools in a timely manner.

I don't believe there is a deadline.

With that being said I do think that the deposits do a fine job of preventing multiple acceptances.

I know for me that I held on to AZCOM and NSUCOM until March 15 when both of my deposits were due....I elected at that point to save my bleeding wallet and comitted to one.

Money is a great motivator, especially when your poor.

there are deadlines, and each school is different. its a deadline in the sense that you owe them money by a certain date in order to reserve your slot. many schools set a time frame after you interview, like 30 days, or two months, or something to that effect. you have until the end of that time to give them anywhere between 50 and 2500 dollars to secure your spot at that school. you could still renig on the school, but you'd be out all that money...
