I know that we have pre health advisers but theres not really a committee or anything and these advisers don't really consider that I'm going into medicine, they just care if I finish my classes for my major. I wonder if I'm in the wrong place?

At most schools, Premed advising is called Pre-Health advising. You're in the right place.

There is NO pre-med committee.

But for advising, you can declare yourself to be pre-med and there are special pre-med advisors you can see, for example David Fooce (call 292-5104) if you are in Honors or Thomas Veregge for non-Honors (call 292-6961). You can meet these advisors to discuss pre-med issues (as well as GECs). You meet with your advisor in your major to discuss major-related issues.

ok I do have fooce as an advisor
Thanks!

GO BLUE!!

Well, all big schools with awesome football teams also happen to not have pre-med committees...guessing it has something to do with having about 1000 premeds every year...
