If applying to OMFS residency programs in summer of 2017, do yall think that there is any disadvantage to taking the CBSE on July 29, 2017 to have as much time to study for it and do that much better on it? The programs wont receive the scores until early Aug. Do you think that there could be a disadvantage to having your score sent in that late?

I think most people will have that date as their primary score since you can only take it twice a year anyway.

Just signed up for it yesterday, so I'll be in your same boat. Best of luck!

I took it in February and July last year. All of the application deadlines are well after you receive your scores so there is nothing to worry about. You just send a copy of your score report with your application. You can look on the ADEA website and search programs in the search engine to get an idea of when program deadlines are but many of them will be early September-mid October.

Being considered at Jacksonville would be out of the question.

Good advice... I forgot Jacksonville was notoriously early.
