First of all, I would like to say that I am new here and that this is a great forum. There is tons of useful information, and I wished I found out about this site earlier. Ok, now here goes my story.

After taking my first diag at tpr last November, I was rather frustrated with my score of a 16. At first I really didn't think much about it since this was the normal score in my class, but after checking out this forum, I just seems to me that the people who made a 30+ were scoring at least in the 20's on their first try. I have been studying the material over the break and have not taken any diags or pratice test since then because I want to really have the material down before I do any of those.

My question is it possible to jump from a 16 to a 30+? At first I was confident that it could be done with hard work, but now as the mcat is approaching, my confidence dwindles. I guess I am just looking for some inspiration and motivation from any of you who have been in this position and made it through.

Hey, don't give up! My first practice test I finished about half the verbal and thought I did ok on the rest. The outcome you ask? 2,5,8. Well, I studied hard and took a lot more test and ended up with 10,11,11 on the real deal. Since you got a 16 on your first one, I predict that you will get a 33 on the real test. :D So, there is hope. Good luck

Don't worry about it, cause that will only hurt you. Keep studying and trying to learn the concept rather than memorizing stuff. And do lots and lots of practice after you have been over a significant portion of the material. If you do a lot of practice early on, it may hurt your confidence. good luck.

Don't let your conf drop...take a step back and look at how hard you have worked, and how much you have learned in the past few months...
Someone who I went to college with started off with very low 20's diagnostic after completing all his premed science requirements (still fresh in his head)...he wound up getting a 35 on test day...
He gave me a copy of his study schedule, how he pulled it off, but it is in my work email account...email me at [email protected] and I will try to forward you his advice....
GOOD LUCK!!!
