Medical Is this clinical research?

So I've been involved in two different hospitals for research and I was wondering if either would. count as clinical research?
1- Vascular surgery lab studying motion and gait. My responsibilities include recruiting patients, walking them through consent process, helping during the actual trial (recording data, making sure software is OK, helping answer patient's questions), analyzing the data, and helping with writing. I have 2 presentations, 3 abstracts and 1 pub

2- Radiology Research to look at time costs for scanning procedures; i would follow patients from the time docs ordered a scan to after they finished the scan, noting down times. then i helped my mentor calculate times costs and give the hospital recs based on that two improve patient care- 2 abstracts

Yes, it's clinical research.

You got abstracts from the work. Yes, they both count as clinical research as part of trials, I presume.

Would I be able to count the radiology one as volunteering- clinical/medical on AMCAS? I would keep the first one in the "research" category and I have about 750 hours there

Seems like it would be OK to do so.
