My sis (die-hard pre-vet 🙂 ), currently a sophomore insists that there's no way to change her schedule and that she has to take orgo II, physics I, cell bio, all at the same time (she's also taking music theory for fun next semester)

My question is, will she go crazy next semester? is this do-able? (well i'm sure its do-able, but do you think she's being foolish?) She's a chem major (possibly with a bio double major, she loves both subjects), though she claims she hate physics and struggled a little with the subject in high school (she's trying to avoid having to do a whole years worth of physics this summer, which is why she is doing it with 2 other hard sciences this semester)

You know, I suppose there really is no point in my posting this, there's no way I can change my little sis' mind, but I'm just curious about other people's opinions of trying to balance 3 tough sciences and does anyone have any advice?

should be workable. I'm taking orgoII, physics, and genetics along with an elective. I think it will take some time and work but I'm not pissing myself over it or anything.

definitely possible, i took those 3 classes together along with a honors session art history class and i got all A's so she can definitely do it as long as she is ready to study hard

Yeah this semester I took physics I, orgo I, and genetics. All of those classes are notorious at my University but I did well in them. Just takes a lot of time. I didn't have any other classes though.

I did it. 25+ credit hours. It sucked but I did it. 😀
Only it was Physics II, O-chem II, and hematopathology, Immunohematology and Adv. micro. No cell bio, but similar. 👍 Good luck. Study your a$$ off and get ready to be raped by a heard of buffalo. 😱
And remember this...B.Y.O.K.Y. 😉

Sounds normal to me too. I usually take at least 5-7 classes, four should be fine! Wish her luck!

i agree...took orgo 1, physics 1 and genetics at the same time...then i took orgo 2, physics 2 and the labs for both with microbio...

will take some studying but not as bad as you think...overall i'd say soph year was my toughest year but i still had time to go out on weekends if i wanted to do so...

if she's looking for a fun class, aka, not a lot of work, then you may want to have her check into the music theory class a little further. As an ex music major, I can tell you that music theory classes can be freakishly demanding and difficult depending on where you take 'em. Not a big deal at a c ommunity college, anywhere from fun and easy to close to treacherous at a university with a strong music dept.
