Is University of Pittsburgh a wise choice for pre-med?

I am considering going to UPitt for undergrad while planning to eventually go into a medical profession. I know UPitt has an excellent med school but do those resources trickle down to the undergrad students (in some way)? I wouldn't be considering the 8 year program that gets you admitted into the med school as well. I also wouldn't be graduating with any debt (as far as I know).

This is a perfect situation because you would have plenty of resources to receive advising as a pre-med student at UPitt and you would have no debt coming out of undergrad which is great!
